The function of the Board of Governors is to decide strategic policy and overall direction and to monitor performance and outcomes. The Board meets at least 6 times a year. The Chair of the Board of Governors is Lorna Anderson.

The Search Committee advises the Board on the appointment of members to the Board. It also reviews and makes recommendations to the Board on other matters relating to governance, such as training and the composition of Board membership. This Committee meets at least 3 times a year. The Chair of the Committee is Willy Notcutt.

The Finance Committee consider and advise the Board on all aspects of the College’s finances, financial policies, controls and strategy. This Committee meets at least 3 times a year. The Chair of the Committee is Robert Brook.

The Audit Committee advises the Board on the effectiveness of the College's internal financial controls and management systems, and monitors the adequacy of the College's financial policies and procedures. This Committee meets at least 3 times a year. The Chair of the Committee is John Tomalin.

The Strategic Planning Committee makes recommendations to the Board on matters of strategy and resources, and also analyses performance outcomes.  This Committee meets 3 times each year.  The Chair of the Committee is Lorna Anderson.

This Committee exists to deal with matters of discipline or grievance where it is appropriate to involve the Governors. It only meets in exceptional circumstances. The Chair of the Committee is Willy Notcutt
