BTEC National Sport students enjoyed a trip to Fitness 2000 gymnasium as part of their Fitness Instructing unit where they got a taste of yoga for the first time. Having already taken part in a spinning class earlier in the year the students were excited about trying another new activity with more than 40 students given the opportunity as part of their course.
The students were able to see how what they have been learning in the classroom is used in the workplace as well as gaining an insight into a career they may choose to pursue when they complete their course in May.
BTEC student Charlotte Branch said "It was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I can definitely see why so many people do it as it was really good fun. This is the second trip we have done as part of our Fitness Instructing unit and it really helps us see what we can go on to do when we leave college as well as making the course."
