Public Services Students from East Norfolk Sixth Form College were able to attend a fantastic Armed Forces Careers Exhibition recently at Bassingbourne Barracks, Hertfordshire. All Three Armed Forces were represented, providing the students with an insight into the many career opportunities available to them once they’ve completed their studies.
The students were able to discuss the various employment routes and life in the forces with serving soldiers and participate in challenging activities including a Tug of War Game and a Gun Run. The event also proved useful for obtaining notes and information to assist the students with their BTEC Public Service Course.
Neil White, Public Services Tutor said, "Despite the weather conditions, this exhibition proved to be a great experience for our students and provided them with the opportunity to interact and obtain information about the Armed Services all in one place. The main highlight of the day was a demonstration by the Royal Signals Motorbike Display Team, which was enjoyed by all regardless of the torrential rain."
